Alice Kroh, MS, LPC (Provisional) is a compassionate and dedicated mental health counselor committed to helping individuals, teens, and couples find stability, healing, and meaning in their lives. She currently practices at Brookside Counseling, where she integrates evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support clients through emotional distress and trauma.

Alice brings warmth, insight, and a deep sense of purpose to her work. Her clinical focus includes helping adolescents and adults navigate the unique pressures of growing up and managing a complex world, as well as guiding couples through the challenges and joys of building lasting, healthy relationships. Using the Gottman Method, she helps couples identify core needs, improve communication, and rebuild emotional connection—often creating sessions that hold space for both vulnerability and hope.

Alice joined Brookside Counseling in January 2023, shortly before completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December 2023. She chose Kindra as her clinical supervisor because of a shared passion for DBT and its powerful role in helping individuals create a life worth living.

Before entering the field of counseling, Alice spent over 20 years as an English and math teacher in the Kansas City area. While she valued her time in education, it was her desire to support the whole person—not just the student—that led her to a career in mental health. That same passion for meaningful connection and growth continues to guide her work today.
